A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIRMAN

Dear Members,

We are coming out of winter and we are beginning to plan the activities for the year at the tennis club. Last year was a good year for us socially, for our facilities, finances and in competitions. Our aim is to broaden the player base, and offer more opportunities for youngsters from the area, and maintain the social atmosphere and programme. Your committee have started planning for our events so be sure to check them out on our events page.

We need and welcome your participation in all aspects of running the club. If you wish to help in any way please make contact with any of the committee.

STAFFORDSHIRE TENNIS LEAGUE NEW SEASON

Now we can smell the new season it’s time to revert back to mens and ladies training nights. From next week (March), Tuesday will be men’s night and Wednesday will be ladies night until the end of the season.

Chris will be giving 2 free coaching sessions to both the men’s and ladies teams to prepare us for the challenges ahead. The men’s will be on 11th & 18th March and the ladies will be 12th & 19th March. Everyone wanting to play in the teams this season are welcome.

Once again we have entered a mixed team in the Burton league. Please let Rob Challinor (07515 512946) know if you are interested in playing.

Match fees remain £3 each per fixture played.

2025 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

It’s that time of year again, and entries for this years Club Championships are now open in the usual categories: Men’s Singles, Ladies Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies Doubles & Mixed Doubles.

Please send your entries to robchallinor@gmail.com or text 07515 512946. Please include a contact number (and your partners where applicable).

Entries close on 23rd March.

Matches MUST be played by the deadlines set out in the draw. Please communicate any issues you have organising matches to Rob at the earliest opportunity. The aim is for all semi-finals to be completed by the end of August.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING CHAIRMAN'S REPORT

The good news is that we are in a solid financial position and we voted to keep the subs the same for next year!
