Singles Ladder

Rules

  • Entrants must put their name and contact number on a T card and place in the cardholder. T cards and an example of how to complete a T card will be on the notice board.
  • Challengers can only challenge a player up to three places above their current position. Match details and results must be entered on the ladder results sheet on the notice board.
  • Please note that you are challenging the position and not the person. If during any week the player you challenge has played a match and moved position then he/she must refer you to the new position holder for your challenge.
  • Challenges must be accepted and played within a 10 day time period or the challenger is automatically awarded the win.
  • Losing opponents cannot re challenge the same opponent again within a 10 day time period.
  • Match length is best of 15 games. It is up to the players to agree to either finish once someone has won 8 games or to continue and play out the full 15 games.
  • Time Out – Players are allowed two weeks for injury or holidays to preserve their position. Please put details of your time out period on the time out sheet on the notice board. If an injury related time out or a holiday time out extends beyond two weeks then one place is dropped per week until notification of the end of injury or holiday.
  • Progressions up the ladder. A winning challenger will swap places on the ladder with their opponent.
  • It will be the responsibility of the winner of a ladder match to update the score sheet and swap the T cards immediately after the game.
