A huge thank you to all involved in the Hospital at Home tennis tournament this year, which took place last Thursday 15th September.
This was the 18th tournament that Iain and Helen Russell have organised for Hospital at Home in conjunction with the tennis club and the day was a resounding success, raising a massive £650 for Hospital at Home.
With 28 players and blue sky and sunshine all in place for the day, the Clubhouse was transformed by Helen and her friends into the most fantastic venue for a well deserved lunch.
A nail biting final ensued between Sarah Parsell and partner Helen Vowles versus Gill Kingston and partner Lorraine Alldritt, with Gill and Lorraine winning overall.
Thank you to Helen for your organising and for inviting us all to take part in this special day, and to Iain for keeping score (no easy task) and dragging us away from the shopping and the coffee when we were needed on court.
