Please ensure as you leave the courts that the court gates are securely locked and if you are last out of the car park, then all road gates are also securely locked. Lock codes are changed regularly and will be communicated to all members via WhatsApp. Please ensure your mobile number is added to your ClubSpark profile to allow the Club Committee to add you to the appropriate WhatsApp group.
Nether Heyford Tennis Club
Nether Heyford Tennis Club is a small friendly tennis club based at the playing fields in Nether Heyford in the heart of Northamptonshire.
We have 3 floodlit hard courts resurfaced and painted in Summer 2020, and regularly maintained.
The courts are available for members' use at any time, subject to regular social tennis and match bookings. If you would like to come down to take a look and meet some of our members, please get in touch. We are always very happy for players to come and join in a couple of social tennis sessions before deciding whether to become a member.
NHTC offers regular adult coaching, provided by Tennis4all. All coaches are fully qualified and LTA-registered. From April 2026, we are also offering Cardio Tennis on Tuesday evenings 6-7.
The club also enters Ladies', Men's and Mixed teams into the Northamptonshire Summer and Winter Leagues.

NEW Cardio tennis - Tuesday evenings from 6-7. A fun and sociable tennis-themed workout. First session on 7th April is FREE - message Jane on 07901775639 to book. Subsequent sessions £7 for club members (£9 for non members) - book here.
2026 competitions
- 19th April - the Heyford Cup. A Mixed Doubles tournament open to pairs from small clubs (up to 4 courts). Entry fee £20 per pair, light refreshments included. Limited to 12 pairs, so booking essential. Small cash prize and lots of kudos for the winners. Email linda_miller_uk@yahoo.co.uk or phone 07968732548 to enter.
- 28th June - The Battle of Heyford - open to NHTC members only. Two mixed teams of at least 4 players take each other on in a variety of singles and doubles competitions.
- Autumn - exact dates tbc. The Club Championships - Mixed, Ladies' and Men's Doubles tournaments, open to NHTC members. Rock up, be matched to a partner (using our ‘special’ AI algorithm!) and stand a chance of becoming a club champion!

A mixed doubles competition drawing from other small clubs throughout the area. A great day had by all cheering on your favourite team, watching some fantastic tennis and indulging in the large quanitity of snacks everyone brought along. Huge congratulations go to:
