AR Tennis

AR Tennis is lead by Alice Robson, National Development Coach of the year 2020.

Alice Robson is an LTA Accredited Plus, Level 4 Senior Coach. Alice is motivated by helping players along their tennis journey. She enjoys seeing players enjoy the game and being passionate about seeing an improvement in their technical and tactical game. 

She has been coaching for over 12 years and is a now a Yorkshire County Coach working with the U9 Girls Team. She was awarded National Development Coach of the Year in 2019/20. Alice has reached an LTA rating of 5.2 and competed for the women’s 1st and 2nd team when she was studying at Leeds Beckett University. She continues to compete within the Yorkshire League Division 1 and local Grade 3 events. 

Alice has been a Head Coach in Yorkshire since 2018. She is previlaged that she can be part of the development of tennis. She has found it very rewarding seeing clubs and coaching programmes grow and the impact it has on players lifes and tennis journeys. She has learnt that creating strong parterships (between schools, clubs and coaches) is integral to the development of the sport. 

In 2019/20 Alice was awarded LTA National Development Coach of the Year for her work in the community and at Ackworth Tennis Club. Alice developed the club from 17 to 140 members from 2018-2020. For more information about her award here.

All of our coaches are fully qualified, with all relevant qualifications up to date, including:

• Safeguarding 
• First Aid

Where possible we try to ensure all of our coaches have their Coach Accreditation.
