Lewis Smith - Head of the coaching team and President Lewis Smith is in his third year of study at Abertay. He is studying criminology and has been a qualified tennis coach for the past 3 years. Lewis started coaching at his local club BFTC and has since coached across various Tayside clubs. Lewis has a vast range of coaching experience in tennis and is a great addition to our club.  

Lewis is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the coaching and competitions areas of the programme, working closely with the other coaches, team captains, players, local clubs in the Tayside area and other university tennis clubs to create a positive and progressive tennis environment for all students involved within the club.

Alix Christie - Alix is a newly appointed member of the coaching team and will be retaining her position as club treasurer for the  2023-2024 academic year. Alix is going into her 4th year of study at Abertay and is studying business and marketing. Alix started coaching at local club Forthill and has since earned a level 2 instructor qualification and began coaching at other clubs across Scotland. 

Ewan Little - Ewan is another new appointment to the coaching team and will be joining the Abertay Tennis Committee for the first time, taking on the role of Teams Captain. Having Ewan in the coaching team will continue the prosperous relationship between the teams and coaches as we look to build off a mid-table finish and semi-final cup run. Ewan will also begin his Level 1 assistant coach later this year.
