Whether you are new to tennis or have been playing for years,
...enjoy competition or just wish to play socially - you will be very welcome at Abingdon Lawn Tennis Club. Try us out without obligation by coming along all year round from 6.00pm on Tuesday or Thursday evenings or 10am on the first Sunday of each month. Facilities:
- 8 all-weather courts, Minitennis court and practice wall
- Floodlights on 8 courts until 10pm, included in membership
- Clubhouse with kitchen facilities and showers
- LTA qualified coaches

Activities:
- Numerous adult and junior teams in local leagues, summer and winter
- Open club sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights and some Sunday mornings: turn up and play
- Men's and Women's Match Practice nights
- Annual club tournaments
- All year round singles league
- Social tournaments and events
- Annual open mixed and junior tournaments
- Junior supervised play free to members (Saturday mornings)
- Group coaching for juniors and adults
Gardening and clean up day Monday 25th May
On one or two days each year a group of members spend time working at the club to undertake necessary 'housekeeping' tasks both in the clubhouse and around the courts and grounds. These days have traditionally been held on Sundays but feedback obtained from the membership survey suggested that a different day be tried and a longer period of prior notice be provided. The first of these days in 2026 will therefore be held on Monday 25th May (a public holiday). It is hoped that as many members as possible will be able to participate at some time between about 10am and 4pm. Please put the date in your diary or calendar to come along and help if you are able.
