Adult Coaching

*** Covid-19 Update 21/03/2020 ***

It is with a heavy heart that we will have to suspend all group tennis activities until further notice. The decision has been made in response to the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) who have advised that only 1-1 coaching should take place during the COVID - 19 outbreak. We are in full support of this decision at a time when health should be the priority of the public. The LTA are going to review their stance from 20th April so we hope for better news at that time. 

We are disappointed that we cannot continue the progress and enjoyment of each participant at our group sessions. However, if you would like to book a 1-1 coaching session with one of our coaching team then please send us an email. Lomond will remain open until further notice and at your own risk. Please note that David Lloyd has shut down from this morning onwards.

Adult coaching structure 

Our adult coaching programme is run off 4 week blocks, and will be split into two levels of ability: Beginner and Intermediate. This will allow you to learn and have fun in a group relative to your ability and experience. Please see our approximate guidelines below to understand whether our beginner or intermediate classes are suitable for you. 



You have not played a lot of tennis before (approximately played less than 20 times in their life). You are not sure how to play some of the basic shots, such as forehands, backhands, volleys and serves; and you might not know the rules and scoring system.



You play regular tennis (once or twice a week) and have some technical understanding of shots. You also know the rules of tennis and optionally have a little match experience, but this is not mandatory. 


Cardio Tennis

We provide cardio tennis sessions which are for those looking for a high intensity workout with tennis drills. Cardio suits players of ANY tennis experience or ability as our coaches will tailor the session to each participants standard. 

Sessions are 'drop- in' and ALL are welcome.
