John Fowler died peacefully on Thursday aged 94 surrounded by his wife and 2 sons.
John played at Bassett since the 1980's and was given given honorary membership on reaching his 80th birthday.
He continued to play until his late 80's . 
He will be remembered so fondly by all those who knew him during his long playing career.
Funeral Friday 31st March at 1.15 at St James Methodist.
