Bath Tennis Club is holding a WIMBLEDON WEEKEND - Strawberries and Cream FESTIVAL on Sunday 6th July 2025. NOON 'til 7:30.
Come as an individual or couple, with family or friends and colleagues. Meet the coaching team and our enthusiastic members. Open to all ages and abilities.
A warm welcome awaits. Experience the difference at our community sports hub for active health for tennis enthusiasts and social fun.
Enjoy an action-packed afternoon of tennis drills, coaching, cardio and a fun doubles tournament along with junior and family zones, plus a chance to try pickleball tennis.
Experience the NEW hardcourts and Astro courts with LED floodlights.
BBQ (£6.00 per head) from 2 pm, with strawberries and cream, scones, (more) cream and jam with refreshments from the bar and raffle prizes galore.
Rackets and balls are provided.

Choose your sessions
Free play for warm ups - Courts 1-5
Registration for afternoon events is 13:00-13:45. Do come along earlier and warm up on one of the 5 courts allocated from noon 'til 13:45. You'll also be able to watch some exhibitor hitting by the club teams.
Family zone - Court 6
Get on court with your family and have some fun. We’ll provide modified balls and rackets for the younger ones and coaches will be on hand to give you some pointers if you want them.

Coaches briefing sessions
Our team of coaches will brief you on your chosen activity at 13:45 to enable a prompt start at 14:00. Please help the coaches and organise into the right group. There will be. white board up showing the sessions, capacity and signs ups.
Drills, drills, drills - Courts 1 and 2
Run by Head Tennis Coach, Rich Little, this is an opportunity for member and visitor participants to join in fun sessions to hone their tennis skills. Rich will brief you on the day. There will be 4 x 1 hour sessions over 2 courts. 16 per court per hour.
Beat the coach - Courts 3 and 4
'Beat the coach' is a fun opportunity to join in one of two 1 hour group sessions to up your game. Individual and doubles hitting against the coach. The coaches will brief you on the day. And you'll get to try out the NEW Astro courts.
Pickle Ball - Session #1 Court 5
The first of 2x 1 hour sessions providing a chance to try Pickle Ball, a version of tennis with a difference for all ages and abilities. Under coach direction and guidance. Bats and balls provided.
Junior Zone - Court 6
May we ask parents to support the junior coaches with attendance on court 6, the Junior Zone from 14:00 - 16:00. After this time the court will be designated a family zone where parents can play tennis and interact with their children. If the 14:00 session is full there is another one at 15:00. We will try to accommodate as many people as possible.
ROLLING BBQ - Please reserve and pay £6.00 on the day
Please give us a guide as to your party's needs for the BBQ by reserving your food. If you're only interested in the sweet stuff, for a token £2* there will be cake*, scones, jam (first!) and Cornish cream, Strawberries* and Devon cream and a paying bar all day with alcoholic, soft and hot drinks plus freshly made Pimms. Well, it is Wimbledon tennis isn't it? All served by our tremendous team of volunteers.
Cardio Tennis - Andrew Kettle and Joe Blethyn - Courts 3 and 4
A high-intensity workout focusing on a range of tennis shots, with tips and techniques. Delivered by Andrew Kettle and Joe Blethyn, it's sure to be action-packed and great fun.
Mixed Doubles Tournament - Socially Competitive - Courts 1-5
Having participated in one of the other previous drills, cardio or fun sessions this is a chance to compete with an element of serious fun. Briefing at 16:00, Head Coach, Rich Little will explain the format and rules. This US-style competition provides an opportunity to compete, mix in and play with different people. Points accumulate from each match won and the winners emerge to play in a final providing a great spectacle for everyone. The prize presentation will be at 18:00, followed by the Raffle.
Family Zone - Court 6
A chance for parents and their children to play tennis together in a fun way after the Children's Zone activities.
Tournament prize presentation
A Club Official will present the prize to the winners of the Mixed Doubles Tournament.
