Thank you to tennis club members and guests who attended the recent Charity Golf day held at Bearsted Golf Club in July. It was hugely appreciated. The golf and dinner were well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We managed to raise £600 which will be donated equally to Cancer Research and Shelter by the tennis club. Every little contribution to charities helps and anybody wishing to make contributions to these charities through the tennis club is most appreciated and welcome.

I would also like to thank those that offered prizes for the raffle:

• Richard and Dena Ashness for the lovely bottle of Champagne.
• Kevin Istead for his personally autographed book.
• Malinee Duckworth for the fantastic hamper.
• Rachele Laurenson for her amazing ceramic pot.
• Bearsted Golf Club for the round of golf for 4 people arranged by Kim Martin.

Your extended contributions made the evening that much more enjoyable. Thank you.

I would also like to thank Kim, Rachele and Tom D'Rosario and his Bearsted Golf Club team for their help in the build up to the event and on the day. Your help was greatly appreciated and the service by the Bearsted Golf Club team was excellent.
