MATT CORP – Chairman & Tennis Manager


Matt graduated with a degree in Sports Studies in 2007, he is a LTA level 3 & PTR level 4 qualified tennis coach with over 20 years experience. Matt is passionate about getting more people involved in sport and and getting people active.  In 2014 after 10 years  service as Head coach at Solihull Tennis Club made the decision to work alongside Paul Murtagh (Walking Football Chairman) to take on Beechcroft. Matt is involved in all the sports at Beechcroft but mainly focuses on developing the tennis, working with his coaches and offers private coaching


MARTYN WILLIAMS ( Mr Beechcroft) – Tennis Coach & Walking Football Referee

Martyn graduated from Gloucestershire University  with a sports coaching foundation degree. He has been coaching  for over 10 years.  Martyn is a level 3 LTA qualified tennis coach  & a  FA qualified walking football referee. He is involved with many of the tennis and and walking football sessions as well as lending his hand on our other multi sports sessions held at the club. Martyn offers private coaching for adults and children.


ROB TATTERSALL – Head Tennis Coach    

Rob graduated with a Hons degree in Geoscience and Geophysics from University of Birmingham. Rob is an LTA  Senior Club Coach (Level 4). He has been coaching  full time for over 20 years in the Warwickshire area working with a wide variety of ages & abilities. From 2010-2012 Rob was Head coach at Billesley Tennis Centre , Junior performance co-ordinator for Coolsportz at Warwick TC and Henley-in-Arden TC 2012-2016 before taking up the Head Tennis Coach role here at Beechcroft. Rob heads up delivering our junior and adult group coaching as well as offering  private lessons, and running our Multi Sports Camps held at Dickens Heath School.


JESSICA WARDEN – Junior Tennis Coach – Toddler Tennis

Jess is a level 3 LTA qualified tennis coach who has been coaching tennis to people all ages and abilities on and off for over 10 years. Whilst studying for a Masters at Loughborough University she worked part time for 2 years as the University Tennis Coordinator increasing tennis provision for students, staff and community. She now splits her time between running her business Toddler Tennis and working with local clubs to develop provision and increase number of members.


JAMES HORTON - Tennis Coach


James is an LTA senior level 4 tennis coach who has been coaching full time for the last 8 years working with all ages and abilities. He joined the Beechcroft team a year ago and  delivers walking tennis coaching, school tennis coaching and private lessons. 


CHRISTIAN CAZACU – Table Tennis Coach


Christian is a level 1 qualified Table Tennis coach who heads up and runs the club social / coaching for adults and juniors. Christian works with will all ages and abilities including performance high level players. He has played himself at elite level and has fantastic knowledge of the game. You will always see him with a smile on his face (apart from the picture above). Private lessons can be arranged on request, please contact the club for booking and further information.



NEIL WESTON – Football & Walking Football Coach

Neil (Nell), joined Beechcroft in 2014 . He is a qualified FA level 1 coach and a FA qualified Walking Football Referee.  Nell coaches / referees the majority of our walking football sessions at both Beechcroft and Solihull Football Centre and knows everybody! 


PAUL MURTAGH – Club Treasurer & Walking Football Chairman


Paul is a property developer by trade who utilised his skills in refurbing Beechcrofts club house when he joined forces with Chairman and Tennis Manager Matt in 2014.  FA level 1 Youth Football Coach Paul also leads our very successful Walking Football program at Beechcroft and Solihull and is a qualified WFA Referee. Paul was appointed the first ever WFA England over 50's Walking Football Manager in 2017 and more recently the Assistant Manger for the WFA England over 50's Ladies team.  


GEMMA QUEENBOROUGH  – Walking Netball Coach / Umpire

Gemma has a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport and 10+ years umpiring experience in Netball.  After enjoying and playing the game for over 10 years, she became a Walking Netball Host in 2016 and spent 1 year as an assistant coach for Foxes Club seniors teams. Gemma is a level 2 Netball coach and been coaching at Beehcroft for over 6 years developing the Walking Netball and Back 2 Netball sessions.


GAYNOR JONES – Walking Netball Coach / Umpire



Gaynor is a Level 1 Netball Coach  with over 30 years of Netball coaching experience within the Birmingham area, working with senior players up to Division 1 standard.  She is a committee member of the Birmingham Netball Association as well as a Walking Netball Host and has achieved level C Award for Netball Umpiring. Gaynor has been a Walking Netball Host at Beechcroft  and other Solihull & Birmingham Host sites for over 5 years. 


LUCY SHAHRIVERI - Membership Secretary,  Safeguarding and first aid officer 


Lucy has been with Beechcroft since 2014 acting as membership secretary, safeguarding and first aid officer.
