Every year we run our much-loved Club Tournament.

Entry lists usually go up on the clubhouse noticeboard in August, with the draws released towards the end of the month. Matches are played through late summer, leading up to Finals Day, which is traditionally held on the last Sunday of September.

Finals Day is always a great occasion around the club – a fun, social way to celebrate the end of the summer season, with plenty of tennis on court, teas and cakes, and supporters cheering from the sidelines.

Winners have their names are added to the honours boards in the clubhouse, which date all the way back to the early 1900s.

Events include:

• Men’s and Ladies’ Singles
• Men’s and Ladies’ Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
• Junior finals across various age groups (played on the morning of Finals Day)

In 2025, we introduced a brand-new event – the Mystery Cup & Shield. Players were randomly paired and given a handicap score to help level the playing field. It proved hugely popular and was our most entered event, so it’s definitely here to stay!
