Welcome to Blaydon Tennis Club
We are a friendly and welcoming club, situated in the beautiful Derwent Walk Country Park.
Founded in 1922 as ‘The Blaydon Wesley Guild Lawn Tennis Club’, the club merged with 'Blaydon Methodist Tennis Club' in 1961, before moving to its current and enviable premises in June 1999.
With 9 floodlit all-weather courts, no floodlight curfew, plentiful and free parking, top class coaching, a pavilion and sheltered viewing area, Blaydon Tennis Club is really the place to play in the North East.
We welcome all ages and abilities, members and non-members.

Our Vision, Mission and Values
Our Vision is to create a vibrant, progressive and sustainable tennis club that thrives on providing a full range of enjoyable year-round playing opportunities where enjoyment of the game of tennis is enhanced through skilled coaching and competitive play in a friendly and supportive environment.
Our Mission is to promote and encourage the playing and enjoyment of tennis for all ages, abilities and backgrounds to the population of Gateshead and surrounding area.
Our Values are:-

- To provide an atmosphere of positive encouragement to all those wanting to play tennis.
- To create a strong program of club/social play that involves as wide a range of abilities and age as possible.

Spring Promotional Membership and Coaching Offer**
About the day
We would like to invite you, your family and friends onto our fabulous courts here at Blaydon during the afternoon of either Saturday 26 or Sunday 27th April (1pm to 4pm).
The club will be open all afternoon on these two dates for visitors to have a game, partake in coaching, mix with members and get a feel for our fabulous club. Relax in between court activities with a cup of tea/coffee and cake with juice available for the kids.
This is a great opportunity for any potential new members to come along, whether you have never played tennis before or you haven't played in a while to see if you would like to take up the sport with us. We currently have our new member fees at a significantly reduced prices for a short period of time. So don't miss out on this great offer.

- Rackets will be provided if you don't have one

- A fun filled day with lots of fun
