The newly promoted men's team played their first City league Div 5 fixture away at Taverham last night to start off the 2023 campaign. Each pair plays two opposition pairs over 16 games each (each pair playing 32 games in total) with every game counting towards the final result.

Robbie Clarke and Jason Eves stormed through their first match 13-3 and although Colin Stocker and Damian Baker started strong taking a 6-2 lead, their opponents settled into the match and turned it around to win 10-6.

The second set of matches saw both Blofield pairs taking firm control of the match - Robbie and Jason winning 12-4 with Colin and Damian also winning 12-4

The final result was a win for Blofield 43-21
