LTA President Sandi proctor makes second visit to Club

Two years ago in her inaugural year as LTA President, Sandi Proctor visited the Club to see our newly completed macadam court 4 and to talk about our vision for the future. This week she returned to see how we have moved the club forward and find out what else we had planned. Whilst inspecting the newly re-surfaced court 5, she watched some of our juniors and adult members play social tennis and talked to members about everything tennis. Sandi was very impressed with the spirit of the club, the improvements seen since her last vist and congratulated us on our Norfolk Club of The Year 2025 award. She wished us well for the future.

Last American Tournament of Grass Season

Saturday saw the last grass court tournament of 2025. 14 players including members and visiting players from local clubs competed in 5 rounds of mixed and same sex tennis. The Mens winner was George Underwood, with Cathy Lofthouse winning the Ladies competition - both recieving a bottle of wine as their prize. During the afternoon, participants competed in a fun competition to serve and try to hit a cone set at a body serve. All 14 competitiors tried.....only one succeeded - well done Fiona Underwood. The raffle helped raise a few more pounds for the Club with James Tomlinson's number being drawn to win a bottle of gin.

Quiz Night 18 October 2025

The date for this popular social event has now been set and we ask that you look to friends and family to make up tables of around 8 people. If you can't make up a table of eight, or need to join another group, then we can usually help, so that you can join in. 

The evening starts at 7pm and will again include a chilli and jacket potato meal half way through the quiz. The usual raffle and 'heads and tails' activity will also feature to help raise funds to further improve the Club.

We hope you are able to join us and ask you to reserve your table by emailing (click here), indicating the likely numbers on your table, with final numbers needed by 11 October for catering purposes, please.
