The sun came out for Bourton Tennis Club's Opening Tournament on Sunday 26 April and players made the most of the perfect conditions to enjoy a competitive, fun morning's tennis.

Pairs were drawn on the day and each team played all the others in a "best of 8" round robin format, with the twist that players switched sides after four games, so half were played with partner and four against.  This made for a very even competition which was a lot of fun and hard fought.

Congratulations to winners Debbie Jagla, who scored the most points and finished as outright champion, and Trina Pitchforth and Mary Greenhill who were joint second.

All players enjoyed a chance to socialise in the sunshine over lunch and drinks after the tournament.
