Club

Clubhouse redevelopment project

The committee are delighted to announce that the club has now appointed sixtwo a local firm of architects to undertake the design and planning application of our “new” clubhouse.  Over the past few months the club looked at and interviewed a number of local architects before making a final decision on sixtwo, who really excited us with their passion, approach and nod to tradition.

The next stage is for sixtwo to work with the club, consult members, assess the existing clubhouse, and liaise with Trafford in order to develop a proposed scheme.  This scheme will then be presented to members for approval at an EGM, prior to the submission of our planning application later this year.

We are determined to involve members in this process and ensure that everyone who wishes to has an opportunity to share their views. The club will therefore hold consultation sessions on the 4th and 11th March at 1pm in the clubhouse. These will be informal sessions with architects Nick Moss and Andrew Edmunds plus members of the committee, so please come along and share your thoughts.

It would help us greatly if you could let us know in advance if you plan to attend, so that we get some ideas of numbers. Please confirm your intention to attend by registering here.

At the AGM on Wednesday March 29th the company committee with sixtwo will provide a more detailed update on progress and timescales for the project.
