May's glorious weather rewarded competitors in this year's club handicap championships with fabulous conditions. 

Both doubles and mixed doubles had a large number of entries this year. There were plenty of tight matches and the rolling handicap system meant that all the finals were very close affairs.

In the tightest match of them all; Ronnie McLean/Richard Whyte drew with Chris Smith/Nick Tiddy in the mens' final - with the former pair taking the title on a coin toss. 

The ladies final saw aunt&niece team, Karen&Jenny Cleminson edge out two of our longstanding members Joyce Gatoff/Hilary West.

In the mixed doubles final, a glimpse of the club's future maybe; as two parent/child teams went head to head. Stuart & Ella Thwaites retained their title with a tie break win over Heidi & Bruce Bailey.

Our winner's trophies will be presented at our club finals night on June 30th. Tickets are still available for the Thai meal; details can be found here.
