The members only 2026 AGM will be held on Wednesday February 25th at 7pm for 7.30pm start in the Memorial Hall, Upper Bucklebury, Broad Lane.  It is open to all members and we would love to see as many of you attending as possible and sharing your ideas on how the club can develop and thrive.  Complimentary drinks and nibbles will be available.

Welcome to Bucklebury Tennis Club

Bucklebury Tennis Club is a small village club offering family, competitive and social tennis to those who live in and around the parish. The club is self financing and derives virtually all its income from membership subscriptions. Membership is on an annual basis and runs from 1st April to 31st March, and allows for unlimited use of the courts with an online booking system on this site for playing up to 1½  hours per session.   

Club facilities are good with inside and outside clubhouse areas, toilet, ball machine, and two all weather courts both of which have floodlights to extend playing times. The courts are kept locked but all paid up members are issued with the lock code for access.

Throughout the season the club runs a number of social events, including Club evening and morning mix-ins, friendly matches, barbeques and tournaments.

As members of the Newbury and District LTA, the club participates in the District leagues and tournaments and has in some years held the top position in the Mens top Division. Bucklebury Tennis Club also have teams in the Berkshire LTA leagues.

From 1st April 2025 our yearly subscriptions are as follows:

Family subscription (All members of the same family living at the same address including children under 18 or in full-time education, adults capped at two)  £95 

Adult subscription £65 

Student membership £25 (if not part of a Family membership)

Junior membership under 18s £15 (if not part of a Family membership) 

Court bookings and court access is exclusive to club members only.  Club members may be accompanied by non-members as guests to play (Adult Guest Fee £3 per hour, Junior under 18 Guest £1 per hour).  

Non-members are welcome to sign up for Coaching (please refer to our Coaching section and associated fees) and those who wish to join the Club as a full member to play, please contact the Club Secretary via the Contact page.

Floodlights £2 per half-hour per court.

The club commenced its affiliation with the British LTA in March 2011.

There is a Defibrillator placed on the wall of the Upper Bucklebury Memorial Hall and associated access code for operation.   For more details on our Welfare policies please refer to the Welfare section of this website.
