SUMMER TENNIS CAMPS We have 2 Tennis Camp weeks remaining for juniors over the Summer Holidays - both are still available for booking. These camps are being held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the weeks starting Tues 12th August and Tues 26th August. The camps are 5 hours per day starting at 10am and are be tailored for juniors of all abilities aged 5 to 15 years old and are full of fun tennis related activities and challenges. Latest Junior Group Coaching News:

Our NEW Junior Coaching term starts on Monday 8th September with 1-hour coaching groups at 4.30 on Mondays and at 4.30, 5.30 and 6.30 Wednesdays. Each course runs for 6 weeks and they can be joined at any time with the fee reduced pro rata. These courses are now available for booking - please navigate to the 'Coaching', then 'Junior Coaching', tabs and select a course to register (if not alrady registered) and to book a course.

The LTA Youth and National League for Summer 2025 is now open for entries - please see 'News' tab for details.

WALKING TENNIS

If you are interested in 'walking tennis' then please e-mail us at info@calnetennisclub.com and we will let you know as soon as we have a course available for booking.  

SOCIAL TOURNAMENTS -  members only

Go to our 'Social Tennis' tab for dates of our upcoming events and photos of past events.  Our fun social tournament “Strawberries & Cream”, was held on 29th June - congratulations to our winner Blair. Up next, on Sunday 24th August, is “Red, White & Blue”, our American themed fun tournament to celebrate the US Open grand slam.  Email social@Calne tennis club to enter by 10am Saturday 23rd August. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

This year's Club Championships are now in progress. The Tournament comprises Men and Ladies Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles and Veteran Ladies Doubles and Mixed Doubles. The competition ends on Sunday 5th October. Progress and results can be monitored on the draw sheets in the clubhouse.

MEMBERSHIP

The new Membership year for 2025/26 started on 1st April. New members are most welcome. If you don't want to sign up for the year but want more than an occasional hour of Pay & Play, then check-out our 1-month Short Term Membership category via the 'Membership' tab - only £25 a month with some refunds if you subsequently join as a full member.

We welcome non-member players and those new to tennis to come and have a free 'taster' at the club with one of our social tennis groups before making a decision about joining - see the 'Social Tennis' tab for details of the days and times and then contact us at info@calnetennisclub.com to arrange to attend.

SAFEGUARDING

Junior Coaching

Our junior group coaching programme is provided by Sid Falconer, LTA Accredited+ Level 3 coach, and Pedro Howe, an LTA qualified Coaching Assistant. Pedro is working towards his LTA Level 2 coaching qualification. Former members and coaching clients will remember that Sid was formerly our Head Coach; he is an extremely effective performance coach, excellent with children, and was for several years Britain's men's Deaf Tennis Singles Champion. Louis Warnett, a club member and nearing qualification as an LTA Level 2 coach, will 'hit' and coach teenagers and adults on request - please email coaching@calnetennisclub.com.

Pay & Play

We welcome members of the public who are not club members to 'Play & Play' on the courts. Available courts can be booked for an hour for a total (excluding floodlights) of £10 for singles or doubles play. If floodlights are needed then tokens for the lighting meters can be purchased at Beversbrook Sports Facility office. Please click on the 'Court Booking' Tab and follow the 'Pay & Play' instructions for registration, court selection, floodlights and for payment. Pay & Play courts are available as follows:

Monday and Thursday from 9am to 6pm; Tuesday & Friday from 9am to 9pm; Wednesday 9am to 1pm & 7pm to 9pm; Saturday 9am to 5.00pm; and Sunday from 12.30pm to 5.00pm.
