Our Motto:  Tennis is a lifetime sport that can be enjoyed by people of almost any age!

So if you are a regular, not played since school or never picked up a racquet please come and join us.

The Club

Calne Tennis Club is a great place to play whatever your ability. Whether you are looking to compete in one of our teams, play socially at club sessions, play amongst friends or other members or to simply just improve your game with our coaching team, we can offer something for you.

Court Access

We have a combination lock on the front gate of the first two courts.  The lock is necessary to protect our courts from misuse or vandalism.

The four-digit number will be given to members once membership has been paid.  We ask members not to give it to non-members. This will not only enhance our security and help safeguard the club facilities, but also act as an incentive for others to join the club. If you are last to leave the club, please make sure the gate is locked.

Facilities

Calne Tennis Club is an integral part of Beversbrook Sports Facility and shares the site with football, cricket, archery and other sports. With 4 floodlit courts play continues all year round.

Members have access to our tennis clubhouse situated beside the courts where we have notice boards with club information, storage and a small kitchen. It is a good place to socialize before, during and after matches or social sessions.

Coaching

Calne Tennis Club has an extensive coaching programme for juniors and adults run by our Head Coach and team.

We do ask that you must be a member of the club to be on the coaching programme which will give you discounts and be able to come to social events at the club.

Court Usage

During term time the courts are busy with the junior coaching programme between 4pm and 8pm on Mondays, and between 4pm and 7pm on Wednesdays.

Adult group coaching is between 1.15pm-2.15pm on Mondays (Ladies Coaching group), Wednesdays between 7-8.30pm (Performance level) and Saturdays 9-10am (Cardio Tennis)

League matches  are played from 6.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the summer months.

We also have adult social tennis on Thursdays from 6.30pm, and Sunday mornings from 10.30am.

During the day and most weekends there are generally courts available to use.

Floodlight tokens

Floodlight tokens can be purchased from Beversbrook staff and cost £2 per half hour.  During club sessions the cost is divided between the number of members who attend but is usually no more than £2 per person for 2 hours play.

Please note that if the blue light starts flashing on the light post, you have 5 minutes before you have to put another token in.  If the lights do go out, you will have to wait about 10 minutes before the lights come back on again.

Tennis Balls

Balls are provided at the club evenings.  A supply is kept in the clubhouse, which is topped up regularly with ex-match balls.

Ball Machine

Members have use of our ball machine which is kept in the clubhouse. It is available any time unless all four courts are in use.  There are plenty of used match balls to use with it. This is a great way to practise serving and volleys etc. Don't forget to plug in and switch on the charger after use!
