Welcome to Channel Islands Tennis and Padel (CITAP).
The Channel Islands has a long history of racket sports producing some top quality ATP and WTA Tour players including Heather Watson, Scott Clayton and Stuart Parker.
In Padel, Patrick Ogier and Rob West have both competed for Great Britain at the Vet's World Championships.
Channel Islands Tennis has been an Independent County within the LTA UK structure for many years ago and encourages Tennis and now Padel participation for all ages across all islands. Channel Islands Tennis and Padel (CITAP) is split into two parts - Guernsey (GTAP) and Jersey (JTAP) to identity the unique position the Channels Islands hold while being seperate islands who compete together as a County.
GTAP and JTAP are responsible for increasing participation rates in both sports in their respective islands together with the development of players to represent the Channel Islands at LTA competition events as well as Inter-insular and club competitions. The Channel Islands punch above their weight in Tennis, competing with counties that are so much bigger than we are in population and size. We are justly proud to have produced so many impressive players and a thriving Tennis playing community. With the explosion of Padel onto the scene over the past five years, the governance of this exciting new racket sport has come under the umbrella of CITAP and we are proud to have two of the biggest Padel facilities in the UK - one in Jersey and one in Guernsey.
On our website you will be able to find out where you can play, identify a suitable coach, view our upcoming events and news pages or to find out how to contact one of our officers.
