We have a great team of LTA licensed coaches at Telford to suit all abilities and needs. If you are looking for coaching, either group or individual lessons, please get in touch. Non Members Welcome.
Joint Lessons: There is an aditional £5 charge for 2 players sharing a lesson. There is an additional £10 charge for 3 players sharing a lesson.
Charles Morris (Head Coach)
LTA Senior Club Coach – Level 4
LTA Level 5 Director of Tennis (in training)
Charles has over 20 years’ experience coaching players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to performance-level competitors. He is known for delivering high-quality, engaging sessions that support technical, tactical, physical, and mental development within a positive and inclusive club environment.
A former regional-level competitor, Charles continues to play competitively on the over-40s circuit.
He is currently undertaking the LTA Level 5 Director of Tennis qualification, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development and to delivering a high-quality tennis programme at Telford Park.

Joe Shields - (Junior Competitions Manager Full Time)
Full Time LTA Senior Club Coach Level 4
Private Lesson: £50 per hour
Joe plays in our Men’s 1st team and has previously won the club singles title on multiple occasions. He also won six men’s singles titles and five men’s doubles titles at his previous club in Hythe, and represented the Brighton University 1st team during his studies.
Joe is a fantastic coach who works with players of all ages and levels, helping them develop both technically and tactically while enjoying their tennis.

Jonny Sprod (Full Time)
Full Time LTA Senior Club Coach Level 4
Private Lesson: £45 per hour
Jonny has over nine years of coaching experience and represented his county as a junior player. He was also captain of the Oxford Brookes University 1st team. Jonny is an excellent coach who works with players of all ages and standards, helping them develop their skills in a positive and engaging environment.

Casey Lyonette (Part Time, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
Part Time LTA Senior Performance Coach Level 4
Private Lesson: £50 per hour
Casey is a four-time Surrey County Champion and has achieved an outstanding 2.0 rating. Remarkably, he won the Telford Park Men’s Singles Championship at just 12 years old, highlighting his exceptional competitive pedigree from a young age.
Casey specialises in coaching advanced and performance-level players, using his high-level playing experience to develop tactical awareness, technical detail, and competitive confidence on court.

Michaela Cuninghame (Part Time)
Part Time Senior Club Coach Level 4
Private Lesson: £45 per hour
Michaela was a national-level player in the Czech Republic and brings a wealth of playing experience to her coaching. She works with players of all ages and levels, delivering engaging sessions that support both development and enjoyment of the game. Michaela also continues to compete in the national club league, and her daughter is currently one of the top junior players in the country — reflecting her strong understanding of player development at a high level.

Nina Louden (Part Time)

Private Lesson: £35 per hour
Nina is the Ladies’ 1st Team Captain and has recently started her coaching career. She specialises in working with beginner and improver players, creating a friendly and supportive environment that helps players build confidence and develop their skills.

Matt Turner (Part Time Sundays)
PTR coach ( level 3 LTA equivalent)
Private lesson £45 per hour
Matt has over 25 years of coaching experience, working with players of all ages and abilities. He has won seven singles titles and three doubles titles across South Croydon, Corkscrew Hill, and Shirley Park clubs. Matt continues to compete regularly in both the Surrey and Kent leagues, bringing extensive match-play experience to his coaching.

Individual Lesson Cancellation Policy
• If the player notifies the coach 24hrs in advance the lesson won’t be charged.
• If the player notifies on the day of the lesson, full amount of the lesson will be charged.
• If a lesson has to be cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances then another lesson will be offered.
