How to find us
Cheadle (Kingsway) Sports Club Limited
Following the recent Government announcements, we are delighted that we can re-open some of the tennis courts at Cheadle for singles and doubles play.
For full adult members and under 25's, due to the COVID19 restrictions, there is a two stage membership for this season. Stage one will be £75 for adults and £50 for under 25's and will give you access to the courts until the end of September 2020. We will consider the timing and amount of stage two once we know when we can return to playing on the courts in normal way and enjoy social and league tennis.
Junior membership will remain as at present.
ARRANGING TO PLAY TENNIS
All courts must be booked through the court booking system, to ensure the number of players is controlled.
Only courts 1, 3, 4 and 6 are open in order to allow social distancing between the courts
Booking courts for a member is free. If you are not a member, you will need to book through the Rally Pay to Play system. The courts are £8 per hour, which includes the visitor's fees.
The barrier to the car park will remain closed. If you drive to the club you will need to park on the Kingsway or on High Grove Road.
Wash your hands before leaving home
Bring hand sanitiser with you and use this before, during and after playing
If possible avoid touching the gate to the courts - leave it open
Avoid touching the nets, net measure and handles. The nets have all been measured and should be the right height
Avoid physical contact with other players - no hand shaking at the end of the match or high fiving after a great shot, no matter how good it was!
Do not drag the courts after use
The Tennis Pavillion will remain closed, If you have a key, please do not access it. We have no facility to sanitise it between player visits. There will therefore be no access to the toilets or the floodlights. Play must finish when it goes dark, which is getting quite late now.
The main Clubhouse is looking to re-open on Saturday 4th July 2020. Entry to the bar will be by ticket only. Drinks can however be ordered from the door and will be delivered. Approaching the bar is strictly prohibited.
When the main clubhouse is open, toilets can be accessed on a strict 'one in, one out' basis.
Coaching with Carlos is back on, but only in small groups of up to 6 people. Members should contact him directly to arrange coaching. The LTA has issued guidance to coaches to keep them and their coachees safe and Carlos will be adhering to this.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Enjoy your game!
