Our second Spring Slam Tournament took place on Sunday 22nd March. Kay and Gary were the shield winners this year, competing against Grace and Mike in a very close and entertaining final which went right down to the last deciding point. Well done to the finalists and winners!

Twelve mixed pairs played five matches each in two groups before the top two pairs in each group progressed to the semi-finals. As ever, we enjoyed a very friendly competition with plenty of opportunity to socialise, and we were helped this time by the perfect weather conditions.

This year’s tournament was organised by Clare and Kevin, with Maureen ensuring that everyone’s energy levels were sustained by arranging the refreshments during and after play.

All participants kindly provided voluntary donations. These funds will help to support the re-opening of the Cold Ash Parish Fete which will take place later this year.
