Important Update: Connaught Park Tennis Courts Temporarily Closed
We regret to inform you that the Connaught Park tennis courts are temporarily closed for both member and non-member bookings. This is due to recent vandalism of the entrance gate, which has rendered it inoperable.
Our resident coach, Karen, will continue to run organised group tennis sessions and holiday camps as planned.
We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will keep you informed of our progress. As an alternative, please remember that you can book the Marke Wood Park tennis courts in Walmer, which are included as part of your membership.
PLAY TENNIS FOR FREE: Running every first and third Saturday of each month (weather permitting!)
Book onto a FREE PARKS TENNIS session at Connaught Park Tennis Courts. These fun sessions will run from 10am to 11am every first and third Saturday of each month for all ages and abilities. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please click here to book your place for this week’s session.
The 2 refurbished courts at Connaught Park are under new management; the Deal and Dover Park Tennis Community Interest Company will be concentrating on building thriving usage of these refurbished courts. During the forthcoming months, you can expect to see a programme of Free Park Tennis, fun competitions, and coaching sessions. These will be for all ages and abilities.
We will be encouraging new online Pay and Play. There will be two options for you:
Entrance to the courts will be via a new gate access system. You will receive a “code” which will allow you to open the gate 5 minutes before your allotted time. You will need to be careful enter the * key before inputting your six digit code, and wait for any players already on court to stop playing and let you pass.
We realise this process is all new for Connaught Park's tennis courts.
You will see marketing banners and essential LTA policies attached to the fencing in due course.
We hope the community supports this new initiative and join in the playing and social benefits of tennis.
