Singles box league

Interested in singles? Fancy a bit of competition? Then join our box league, a friendly and free competition exclusive to club members.

More information is provided below, but you're welcome to contact our box league organiser Ynda (they/them) via yndajas@gmail.com if you have any questions.

How it works

The box league is played in 'seasons' lasting 6-8 weeks. Within a given season, you'll be grouped with around five other players in a 'box'. The league is open to all members of the club and is not divided by age or gender.

It'll be up to you to arrange a match with each player in your box. Matches are best of three sets, with the third set being a championship tiebreak. Match results will count towards your World Tennis Number.

Between seasons the top two players in each box will move up and the bottom two will move down where possible. Where space and knowledge of your skill level permits, we aim to place you into a box appropriate for your standard on first entry.

Full rules are on the rules subpage.

How to join

Entries are closed for the current season. The next season will start in early August. Contact Ynda via the details at the top of this page if you'd like to register your interest early.

Note: you need to be an LTA Advantage Play+ member to join - club membership entitles players to this for free. If you haven't already, you can register for membership via the LTA Advantage page.
