Photography Competition Terms & Conditions

Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Crawley Lawn Tennis Club of Hazelwick Avenue, Three Bridges, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 1NP.

Eligibility

The competition is open to members and non-members of Crawley Lawn Tennis Club, unless otherwise stated.
Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter.
Club management team members may not enter.

Competition Period

Entries must be received between 14 April 2026 and 1 September 2026.
Entries received after the closing date will not be included.

How to Enter

To enter, participants must submit a photograph taken on the Crawley Lawn Tennis Club site in one or both of the following categories:

  • Best Portrait
  • Best Group Shot

Entries should be sent by email to eventsandsocials@crawleyltc.co.uk and include the entrant’s name and contact details.
Each entrant may submit up to one photograph in each category.
No entry fee is required unless otherwise stated.

Entry Requirements

Photographs must be the original work of the entrant.
All photos must be taken on the Crawley Lawn Tennis Club site.
Entries must not infringe the rights of any other person or organisation.
Photos must not contain anything unlawful, offensive, defamatory or inappropriate.
Basic editing is allowed, but heavily altered or AI-generated images are not permitted.
The club reserves the right to remove any entry it believes does not meet these requirements.

Consent and Permissions

If a photograph clearly shows another identifiable person, the entrant must have that person’s permission to submit the image.
If the photograph includes a child under 18, the entrant must have consent from the child’s parent or guardian.
By entering, the entrant confirms that they have obtained any necessary permissions.

Use of Entries

By entering the competition, entrants give Crawley Lawn Tennis Club permission to use submitted photographs for club-related purposes. This may include display at the club, use on the club website, social media channels, newsletters, promotional materials, and future publicity connected with the competition.
The photographer’s name will not be credited.
By submitting an entry, the entrant assigns to Crawley Lawn Tennis Club with full title guarantee all rights, title and interest, including copyright and all other intellectual property rights, in and to the photograph. This assignment takes effect on submission of the entry.

Judging and Winner Selection

Entries will be judged by the club’s management team.
Judging will be based on creativity, relevance to the category, quality and originality.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prize

There will be a 1st prize and 2nd prize in each category.
For each category:

  • 1st prize: 1 hour of coaching with a member of the club’s coaching team
  • 2nd prize: 2 hours of court time

No cash alternative will be offered unless the club chooses to do so.
Prizes are non-transferable.

Winner Notification

Winners will be notified by email within 14 days of the closing date or judging date.
If any winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days, the club reserves the right to select another winner.

Publicity

By entering, winners agree that their name and photograph may be used by Crawley Lawn Tennis Club in connection with announcing the competition results, unless they ask the club not to do so where this is reasonable.

Data Protection

Any personal information provided will only be used for the administration of the competition, unless the entrant has agreed to other uses.
Personal data will be handled in line with the club’s privacy policy, where applicable.

Liability

Crawley Lawn Tennis Club accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or unable to be submitted due to technical or other reasons beyond its control.
The club reserves the right to cancel, amend or suspend the competition where necessary.

General

By entering, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
The club reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any entry that breaches these terms.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
