DLTC Club Championship Finals – 14 Sept

DLTC Finals Day – September 14

The DLTC Club Championship reached its exciting conclusion on 14 September, with finals staged across singles, doubles, and mixed events. Despite a poor weather forecast, most matches went ahead after the schedule was brought forward.

It was a day to celebrate the full breadth of our club’s talent, from junior players to seasoned veterans, with fantastic support courtside. While a number of matches remain rescheduled, we were treated to superb competition and great sporting spirit throughout the day.

Highlights included:

  • Junior success for Alfie, who impressively won both the 9U and 10U titles.

  • Reuben and Suliman capturing the 14U and 18U Boys singles respectively.

  • Bodie and Daniel champions of the 18U Boys Doubles.

  • Andy Guy lifting the Men’s Singles title and pairing with Steve Guy for the Men’s Doubles crown.

  • James Hodges & Megan Ransford clinching the Mixed Doubles.

  • Veterans’ glory for Mark Gillinson & Martin Abel (Men’s Vets Doubles) and Rob Jansen & Sue Rhodes (Mixed Vets Doubles).

  • Box League Champion – James Hodges, unbeaten through the rounds and winner of the final against Hugh Pile.

Several finals, including the Ladies’ Singles, Ladies’ Doubles, and Vets events, will be completed soon.
