Instructions

Attention: new players to the box leagues, these are the steps you need to follow to enter.

  • Step 1 - join LTA for FREE (no need to pay) if you are not already a member. This step is compulsory, see below.
  • Step 2 - affiliate to David Lloyd Club Renfrew in your LTA account. This step is also compulsory, see below.

For new players and returning players:

  • Step 3 - enter box league on-line (if you have issues with steps 2 or 3, inform the organiser and let them know your new LTA number). See below.
  • Step 3a - email organiser (Joe docherty, tennis.doc66@gmail.com) OR text message saying you have joined box league, as above, and provide your mobile number 
  • Step 3b - organiser will text you 2 Whatsapp group invites. Please join both groups. One is a mass group that organiser will use to provide updates and the second will be the box that you will play in. This 2nd invite may come later once the new groups have been sorted.

Step 1 - How to Join the LTA

Here are the instructions in how to join the LTA and get a British Tennis Membership (BTM) number. Make sure you do NOT pay. It is FREE to join.  Choose ADVANTAGE PLAY+.

Step 2 - Affiliating to David Lloyd Club Renfrew in your LTA Account

You have to be affiliated to the club to allow you to play team matches and enter box league on-line. Here are the instructions.

**** For your Venue, ensure you have chosen DAVID LLOYD CLUB RENFREW. If you choose DAVID LLOYD (with the Renfrew address) IT WILL NOT WORK !!!!!!

  • Go to www.lta.org.uk and click on 'Sign In' - use username and passowrd from Step 1 above.
  • Click on Account Settings
  • Click on Account Details
  • Click on Venues
  • Click on Add Another Venue and search for David Lloyd Club Renfrew
  • Once club is found and selected, choose I subscribe to a venue and Confirm.

 

Fyi. You are allowed up to 3 venues in case you are members at other clubs.

Step 3 - How to Enter David Lloyd Club Renfrew Box League On-line

You have to be an LTA member AND your affiliated venue must include David Lloyd Club Renfrew (see above)

             - It will be Enter if it is your first box league entry

             - It will be My Entry if already in a box league event. If so, you will need to click Edit.

  • Singles --> Enable/tick the 'DL Renfrew Singles 'A' (from 2022) option and click SAVE.
  • Doubles --> Enable/tick the 'DL Renfrew Doubles Box League (from 2022)' option, and enter your Partner name and their  LTA number, and then click SAVE.
  • You should receive an email saying you have entered. You will receive another one once it is accepted.
  • The groups will be sorted once the current box league finishes and before the next one starts.

Step 4 - How to Enter Box League Results

  • Go to competitions.lta.org.uk
  • Log in to your LTA account and you should now be in 'My Profile' page
  • A link to 'David Lloyd Club Renfrew - Box League' should appear further down your profile page. If so, then click on it and your upcoming matches should appear. Enter result and save.
  • If above link does not appear then do the following.
  • Click on 'Menu' and then Box Leagues.
  • Search 'Renfrew' and press go.
  • Click on 'David Lloyd Club Renfrew - Box League'
  • Your upcoming matches should appear. Enter result and save.

Recommend the opponent checks it has been logged correctly. If there are any errors, contact the organiser to correct.

Here are a few examples of how to log results.

  • Matches played without a tie break e.g. 6-4 2-6 6-3.
  • Matches played with a normal tie break being played e.g. 7-6 (5) 6-3.
  • Matches played with a 3rd set championship tie break e.g. 3-6 6-4 10-5
