Chair's Club Member of the Year 2019

At the recent Club AGM the last item of business was the naming of the club member who the Chair has selected for their outstanding contribution to the club on and off court over the course of the year.

This years nominated winner was Ian Dunstone.  Ian has been a member for many years and a regular participant in club life activities such as club tournaments, socials and representing the club in league fixtures.  He is also active behind the scenes with his work into the maintenance and upkeep of the courts being a significant asset to the club.

Ian has also made a bit of club history this year.  By winning the Club Championship Mens Doubles event for the fifth consecutive time he has become the most successful and decorated Mens Doubles player the club has ever had.

Being a former Chair himself, Ian reinstated this award back in 2015 after a 3 year hiatus and is a worthy and popular winner this year.

Unfortunately Ian could not attend the AGM so Chair Sim Holmes caught up with him a few days later to present the award (pictured)
