Club donates to Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Over the course of the summer the club raised money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance through entry fees received from the Club Championships and from money made on the day of the finals through and BBQ and cake sale.  £200 was donated in total.

The club has links to the Air Ambulance as it used to have its base and helipad adjacent to the courts, making some evenings play somewhat windy.  It's new HQ in Semington is a very impressive facility with room for expansion in the future.  When we visited we saw the helicopter taking off and landing as well as looking inside the vehicle itself and seeing where money raised is spent.

The Air Ambulance is funded purely through donations and those of us who were there left with a renewed drive to fundraise further in the future.  In the picture are (from left to right) Sally (club member and one time recipient of the Air Ambulance services), Ben (paramedic), Sim (Chair) & Des (fundraising manager)
