Match Report

Match played in Newport, Wales. Devon players Ann Bulman (Exeter), Marilyn Barlow (Sidmouth), Barbara Robillard (Newton Abbot) and Julie Hopkinson (Seaton). As reserve I drove three of the players to the match which was lost 3 - 1. The first and only away game this season for the county. A nervous start for the team but they settled down well into their matches. Pair 2s match was lost by a pip, going to a tie break in the first set and also a championship point at the end.  The games score was 45 - 32 in total. They couldn't have had better playing weather.
