The Lexus Game Changer Award recognises "bold and innovative thinking to grow the game, and this year's winner was Frances Gray from Torquay Tennis Club".
A Lexus representative announced the winner at the LTA Awards Night earlier this month, describing Frances as someone who "transformed their club into a welcoming and inclusive space for players of all abilities". They went on to say "in just a few short years, this person has gone from picking up a racket for the first time, to becoming a qualified coach, to leading disability and community programmes across their county" and is "inspiring communities and reshaping belonging in tennis".
All award winners across the 14 categories at this year's event also each received a £1,000 Lexus Grant.
The LTA Awards was held at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton and hosted by GB Davis Cup Captain Leon Smith. Established in 2015 by former LTA President Cathie Sabin OBE, the awards recognise the inspirational people, who give their time, expertise, and passion to help the sport thrive.
Congratulations Frances!
