About Devonport Park Tennis Courts

Our 3 tennis courts at Devonport Park, adjacent to Exmouth Road are now ready for play with brand new surfaces, nets and posts. While we are waiting for delivery of the new gates in August,  please use the code for the padlock that you will receive when you book a court. Players will be notified when the new gates are installed and when the courts will be closed for this work.

The courts are now run in a similar way to the Central Park and West Hoe courts using the Clubspark online booking system, on a pay to play basis. A family Park Tennis annual membership for all of our courts at Central Park, West Hoe, Devonport Park, Hartley Park and Tothill Park will cost £40 (£30 for concessions) and individual pay to play sessions will cost £6.

Please be aware Plymouth City Council reserve the right to cancel any booking within the first 12 months to preserve the surface conditions in relation to hot/severe weather.

Also known as the 'People's Park', this registered historic park (Grade II) sits between the communities of Devonport, Stoke, Morice Town and Keyham. Built 150 years ago, it is the oldest formal public park in Plymouth. It is situated two miles from the city centre and one mile from Plymouth Railway Station and a short walk from Devonport Railway Station. Devonport Park is accessible using public transport, buses stopping at Park Avenue, Fore Street and Devonport Road. Parking is limited around the nearby residential streets, with no official car park.

Sitting on top of a hill with wonderful views of the River Tamar it's a great place to play tennis. Then why not refresh yourself at the environmentally-friendly park pavilion cafe. The café has toilets which are free to use during café opening hours.
