Downswood Lawn Tennis Club has an active and vibrant junior section. 

Group coaching sessions are held on Saturday mornings,  Monday evenings and Friday evenings.  Sessions are arranged by age and ability. The cost is in addition to the Club membership fee.

The Club has a qualified Welfare Officer, Dr Amanda Free, who is responsible for implementing the Club's Safeguarding Policy.

Juniors pay the appropriate Club membership fee - see below. They can attend the coaching courses, play at the supervised Friday evening junior social tennis session and when there is a free court.

Junior membership is divided into two categories and the fees for 2024/25 are:

NB: The fees quoted below include a £20 discount for payment made within 30 days of the due date!

*This reduced rate applies to each child when 2 or more people residing at the same address pay a membership fee to join the Club.

The Club also organises a junior summer tournament, fun American tournaments and social events throughout the year.

Junior teams are entered into the Surrey Team Tennis tournament (summer) and Junior Team Trophy competition (winter). Juniors are also encouraged to enter local and regional tournaments.

If a junior has reached the required standard of play, they may be  invited to play at the adult club sessions.
