Carmen Sanchez
Our Club Welfare Officer is Carmen Sanchez. Carmen is responsible for promoting safeguarding at the Club and works with others to ensure we have a safe and inclusive environment for all. Her roles and responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Club to fulfil its responsibilities to safeguard children, young people, and adults at risk
- Assisting the Club to implement the necessary Safeguarding polices and to keep them under review
- Being the first point of contact for coaches, volunteers, parents, guardians, and children/young people where concerns about their welfare, poor practice or abuse are identified
- Being the Club's first point of contact with the LTA Safe and Inclusive Tennis Team
- Implementing the LTA reporting and recording procedures
- Maintaining contact details for local social services, police, and NSPCC
- Promoting the LTA’s best practice guidance/code of ethics and behaviour within the Club and anti-discriminatory practice
- Ensuring that confidentiality is maintained
- Assisting with the resolution of any other complaints received by the Club under and in terms of its Complaints Procedure
