It was encouraging to see the courts well used this summer and to also receive positive feedback on the website and booking system on how this has helped people to play.  Following comments the booking window was also extended and  further suggestions on improvements are welcomed to help build community tennis at Egerton.

As we now enter "winter" period it is proposed the system remains to book the courts but it has been decided any costs are removed for the remainder of this year. This will happen on the system in October. Whilst we would encourage people to play please be aware the court surface and conditions for tennis might not be ideal. Therefore alongside anything the council might do if anything is unsafe please make your own judgement before playing. 

Thanks to those who have booked and paid.  There is better data on usage and the proposals are to look any improvements the council can make to improve the courts including the surfacing. Whilst court surfacing can cost from £20,000 upwards small amounts will help match funding towards keeping courts in a playable condition summer and winter in the future.
