COACHING TEAM

Coach bio - Jack Pearson

Jack is our Head Coach here at Ely Tennis Club. While he has a passion for performance coaching he also believes tennis is for all and loves to introduce players to the sport.

Jack spent a number of years as the University of Hertfordshire’s Tennis Coach where he successfully helped them to score back to back promotions and reach a cup final with the ladies team. His enthusiasm for match play and doubles tactics make him great for a team looking to move forward.

Jack is available for individual lessons at the club, please contact him to arrange your first one-to-one and see the difference it can make to your game.

Coach bio- Paul Singleton

My name is Paul Singleton, I played and coached football and cricket to a high level then started tennis ten years ago when I became a wheelchair user. I played in National events and while working at Grantham we won National club of the year and national disability program of the year. I love coaching and believe having fun playing is the easiest way to improve, anybody can get better and everybody can be included in tennis, any age, ability, disability or background. I have done some cool things while tennis coaching, I was the Head Coach for GB special olympics tennis team that went to Germany last year and won four medals of which two were Gold at the World Games, I am Head Coach of the Midlands Special Olympics team and I am Head coach of Lincolnshire under 12 boys team. Look forward to meeting everyone and getting stuck in.
