Shed Envy!

SHED ENVY
Spring time marks the season for new growth and rejuvenation and in the case of Gt Massingham tennis club – a welcome new shed for us all to enjoy.
Designed by the award winning architect Nicholas Player and constructed by a team of world class engineers, this much yearned for shed has been shoe-horned in between the Social Club’s entrance porch and a lean-to otherwise labelled as “The Fag Hut”!
An estate agent’s precis might run along the following lines:-
“A captivating and exquisite single storey, mid terrace property, overflowing with character and an abundance of interesting and contemporary features. It affords a cosy respite from the wind and the rain. It is both welcoming and impressive with an enviable position overlooking the tennis courts, through imposing three quarter length single glazed windows. This property offers a winning combination of charm and ambience rarely captured by a building of this size and boasts a generous entertaining area when the doors are fully open.”
The grand opening ceremony attracted a large crowd who enjoyed bacon butties washed down with a glass or two of liquid libation in the form of Bucks Fizz. Much discussion ensued as to how best adorn the internal walls with “dinglie danglies” as well as ingenious ways to furnish, without infringing available floor space.
Meanwhile, to the west of us, the bowling club having recently purloined a piece of prime real estate in a far more prominent position, have gone and erected an edifice of their own.
An estate agent’s precis in this instance might run along the following lines:-
“A substantial, detached property of kit form provenance, set in a mature lawned area. With aesthetics all in a class of its own, this imposing structure is destined to be a talking point for years to come. It has a larger than average annex to the side with potential to create further accommodation in the roof space should even more storage for additional tat be required. With fenestration of more moderate proportions, it provides an adequate view of the antics played out on the nearby bowling green. With luck, the perpetrators of this pavilion style shed will organise a painting party and select a shade palatable to all who behold its presence.”
