Well done to the Ladies first team who have just completed the summer matches with a double win.
The squad of Ali McGee-Long, Laura Nigiri, Jess Duke, Natalie Hayden-Scott , Beth Will, Trisha Esplin and Jane Bowen (Captain) won the prestigious Essex Cup. This is a knockout competition and the team beat Connaught Club in the semi-final and Brentwood Lawn 3-1 in the final.
Many thanks to the supporters who braved the rain at the start of the match to help pull the team through.

The team then completed their double by winning the Cambs League Division 1 on Tuesday evening.
The team were undefeated going into the final match against Cambridge Club 2nd team. The match was started on Monday evening in the rain and the teams were 1-1 after the first round. With the conditions deteriorating it was decided to finish the match the next evening. The 2-2 draw means that the Grove are top of the division.
