Cardio-style Tennis


Cardio-style Tennis is a high energy fitness that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. Most women can burn 300 to 500 calories per hour and men burn between 500 to 1,000. It combines warm-up, tennis drills, and fun games, all played out to music! It is about having fun and exercising, rather than winning points, so we welcome all standards of players.

Cardio-style sessions will are run up to three times a week to raise funds for Maggie's Edinburgh; on other occasions a "social" cardio-style will take place which is free for members (visitors and guests pay a £3 visitor fee). Each session run for Maggie's requires booking and paying for in advance. The fees (£5 for members and £7 for non-members) will be donated to Maggie's Edinburgh, less £1 to cover the costs of the equipment used (tennis balls and floodlights).
