SINGLES TENNIS LADDER - SUMMER 2024.

Nothing too serious  ....  just a way to help you find an opponent of a similar level, especially if you have been playing the same person every day for a fortnight!

Open to:  All Adult members (16+) of Harbury Tennis Club

Start Date: Saturday 6th June 2024 
End Date:  tba - but probably around the end of September.

To make sure that (most people) can fit a match into a 1 hour court booking, it will just be 1 set (with a standard tie-break if it gets to 6 all).

To join, please email Nigel Eaton (and include preferred contact details (phone and/or email) to be shared with the rest of the players on the ladder).

Anyone joining the ladder after it has started, will be added at the bottom.

Other Rules

1) You can play as little or as often as you like (although ideally you would be looking to play at least a couple of matches per month)
2) You can challenge anyone up to 5 places above you as many times as you like
3) You have 3 free challenges to use against anyone on the ladder (most useful for those joining late)
4) Its supposed to be for fun, so there are no penalties for refusing a challenge (this might be reviewed if you are the person at the top!)
5) The ladder is mixed - if you prefer to only play against someone of your gender, we can indicate this on the ladder.  (n/a if you are in the top 3 positions).
