We're pleased to annouce that we will be hosting Pickleball Socials and Coaching on Thursdays and Sundays.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball started in the USA in 1965 and is now played by over 36.5 million in the USA, with over 35,000 people playing in the UK.

Combining elements of badminton, tennis & table tennis played indoors or outdoors on a badminton court size.

Players use paddles made of wood or composite materials with the ball being a perforated polymer ball.

Pickleball is a sport for all ages and abilities played between intergenerations or within similar age/skill groups.

Hartley Pickleball

Pickleball will be played on our two lined dedicated courts (from May 2025), with the option of having 2 extra courts using throwdown lines.

From April Tennis Section members (and their guests) will be able to play our Pickleball Social Sunday mornings. All ages and abilities are welcome, played in a friendly mix in format.

From May we'll be introducing Pickleball Thursdays with an hour of coaching and then a further opportunity to hone your skills.

Pickleball Social Sundays 10.30am - 12.00pm

Tennis Section Members: Free

Hartley Country Club Members: £2.00

Guests: £5.00

Pickleball Thursdays: 7.00pm - 8.30pm

1 hour of coaching, 1/2 hour of play

 £10.00 per session
