Sunday 3rd August saw the finals of our ever-popular Random Doubles Tournament, and what a fantastic day of tennis it was!

The tournament always delivers great fun, plenty of surprises, and some very competitive rallies. This year was no different, with all three finals going the distance (or very close to it!) and showcasing brilliant sportsmanship throughout.

Final Results:

• Men’s: Phil J & Phil C beat Roger & Jamie – 4–6, 7–5, 10–5

• Ladies: Lisa & Claire B beat Caroline & Pat – 7–5, 4–6, 10–5

• Mixed: Lisa & John beat Claire L & Roger – 6–4, 6–1

Spectators enjoyed some thrilling points and close sets, with momentum swinging back and forth in several matches. The tiebreaks in both the Men’s and Ladies’ finals kept everyone on the edge of their seats!

Congratulations to our winners, but also a big well done to every player who took part – it’s the competitive spirit, fun, and camaraderie that make this event such a highlight in our club calendar.
