FAQs on Membership Packages
Q: How long do the membership packages run for?
A: Typically a membership package is for a full 12 month period. Signing up will give you access to all club membership benfits for one year. Some short term packages will be made available, so please read the details for each package so that you understand the term that you are committing to.
Q: How does the Direct Debit option work?
A: We have partnered with GoCardless to allow people joining the club to pay for their membership packages at the point of signing up. You will need to enter your bank details during the sign-up process and the DD will be set up directly with your Bank. The page that is used for this is secured and uses https, your browser will show a padlock in the address bar to give you reassurance. You will receive confirmation of payment directly from GoCardless with HTC logo branding as well as your normal ClubSpark confirmation. We have structured the packages to allow for one off payments for the year or via installments. If you are paying via installments you are still committing to paying for the full 12 months. Members will be automatically renewed and have a direct debit payment processed on their renewal date unless they have opted out.
Q: Can I use DD to pay for my membership in one installment?
A: You certainly can. All of the packages that are suffixed "(annual)" can be paid via DD in one installment. This will save you time working out how to bank transfer the money or writing a cheque and sending it through. The other added benefit is that your membership package will be made active immediately, whereas all other options have delays that come from manual processing and clearing.
Q: Each member of my family has their own membership account last year but this year I want to take advantage of the family package. Is there anything special I should do, so that court bookings can be made by/for each family member?
A: This is an interesting one as clearly existing members want to keep their ClubSpark accounts linked to their membership. Below are some additional steps that the ClubSpark support team have given to help you:
1) When members purchase the family membership package - they can add family members at the time of purchase. When it has been set up, the main contact clicks on their name in the top right corner, selects 'Profile' then they will see the membership they have paid for with the names of the members listed there. After clicking on the name of the member that needs to have their existing details added to the package - they can send an 'invite' to the family members to register (the member just uses the same details they used the previous year - and 'signs in' with those).
2) When the family member accepts the invite to join the package - they sign in with their existing registered details. The system will then recognise them as an active member + registered - so they will be able to sign into their own ClubSpark account and book a court.
Q: How do I book a court for my child?
