Helsby LTC have been fortunate to play an instrumental role in asssiting the improvement of the tennis courts at Castle park Frodsham. The courts had fallen into a poor state and are largely underused depite having good clubhouse and floodlight facilities.

We have been involved in innovative partnership working with  the LTA, CWAC, the friends of castle park and Protos.  Helsby LTC will take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the courts and will start to run a small programme there to encourage participation in the sport.

The work will be kick started by a Grant from Protos which should allow complete and much needed court cleaning, repainting and new nets. 

We have been using the courts for occasional overflow matches and now have a system whereby members can book courts to ensure that they are available for use when needed up to 2 weeks in advance.

Members of the public can also book the courts at castle park 1 week in advance.

Our hope is to generate increased enjoyment, participation and availability of tennis facilties for all.
