Hemyock Tennis Club will display the latest LTA guidelines for safe play at the court notice boards. Please refer to these notices prior to playing.

If you’d like to play tennis in Hemyock, we’d love to hear from you.
Whether you're a competitive player looking to play league matches and/or improve your LTA rating, an intermediate player looking to improve your game, or a complete novice who simply wants to give this enjoyable sport a try, our friendly and supportive club will help you achieve your goals.

We have players from all the surrounding areas, Culmstock, Wellington, Cullompton, Taunton, Honiton, Churchinford, Smeatharpe, Trull, Blagdon, Willand, so you may well meet friends.  We are always looking for new people to join.  Whether you want to play every week or once a year we look forward to meeting you.

Social Tennis

We organise Social Tennis at various times to suit all abilities, there are club sessions

  • >Thursday evening from 6:30 to 9:00pm - open to all members. A small charge is made for flood lights when used.
  • Saturday morning from 10:00 to 12: 30 - open to all members.
  • Sunday morning from 10:00 to 12:30 - team practice.

The club does not provide balls for social tennis.

Floodlights

The LED floodlights are operated by the token machine outside the pavilion.  A £2 token available from the Spar Shop in Station Road, gives 30 minutes floodlighting on one court. Operating instruction are shown at the token machine.   Please note that the floodlights will switch off automatically at 9:30 pm, regardless of how much token value has been entered.
