We are located in the middle of Bancroft Park in Hitchin.

Directions from the A1:

Leave the A1 at Junction 8, take the A602 to Hitchin. You will pass Kingshott Prep School on your right. Continue down the hill 100 yards to the outskirts of Hitchin. In the dip, turn right into Whitehill Road and continue up this road. It becomes Hollow Lane as you start to descend a hill.

At the bottom of Hollow Lane (you will be facing St. Mary's church) turn right.

At the traffic lights turn left into Hermitage Road.

At next set of lights turn right into Bancroft.

Drive past various shops and then a row of red-brick almshouses on your right.

Immediately after the almshouses turn right into the entrance signed to Sainsbury's car park, almost immediately on your left there is a gate into the park (which you use after parking). Walk past the public tennis courts on your left and follow the track into the park. A hedge on your right borders 2 bowling greens and Hitchin LTC is just beyond these on your right close to the childrens play area and splash park.

Nearest car parking is in Bancroft (ringGo 8110) pay & display public car park (free after 6pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sunday - poss subject to charge by NHDC after 21/6/13).  There is on-street parking in Ickleford Road and adjacent roads if you time it right or were born lucky!  Ickleford Road is the 2nd turning off the 1st roundabout that you reach if you follow the directions above, but continue on instead of turning into Sainsbury’s car park.
